I guess it comes to us all

...that time when we have to let go. That time when nothing seems harder than to just turn away and walk your separate ways. The madness swirling inside your head crying for you to stay is only broken by thoughts of seeing one another again. As they fade into the distance, the colour of their eyes, the shape of their lips, the smell of their hair, it all becomes that of memories. As if a candle slowly fading in the night you walk further and further. You look upward and try to see the sliver lining of the clouds that surround you, but there is none. You feel a hand on your shoulder and turn around. Your mind screams with delight and happiness as you expect to see them there with that look on their face, yet as you turn you see that in fact it is not them, but yourself. You have found yourself once more, and can now build yourself back to be a stronger, more resilient person

Such perfection

The once torrential rain is now but a soft shower that seems to caress the skies as it falls. The dark clouds are replaced with heavenly white wisps that slowly glide above you. The valleys still echo with the thunder from the night before, the great giants of the sky no longer smash their anvils but are now quiet as they fade into the distance. The sun slowly rises behind you, casting a million rainbows across the grasslands. The countless droplets of dew that rest upon the grass cast their multicoloured beams as far as the eye can see. You take a great inhale and feel your lungs expand with a cool crisp air, as you slowly breathe out you smile and close your eyes. The birds morning call is now the only accompaniment to that of the pitter patter of seldom raindrops falling from the endless skies above. As the once ominous clouds fade and a new day begins you feel reborn. The rains have washed away all the imperfections of the world for but a brief second and you know, that at this very moment, the world is as pure as the day it was born.

*Applauses* That must be one of the most amazing comments to receive.

This shit be tasty!

They said when we turned on the Hadron Collider it would cause a mini black hole that would destroy the very planet. Little did they know, when we smashed two atoms together at near enough light speed this was the result, AND IT FUCKING ROCKS!!!

That first step

Your boot slowly comes into contact with the dirt. You lower your self from the ladder and look around. You stare in awe at what surrounds you. There is an eerie silence as you breathe in and then out again, blinking slowly. You pan your head to see the world around you in all it's majestic glory. You take a step away from the ladder and look upward to the sky. Stars shine brighter than you have ever seen, their luminosity that of blinding white. You walk further from the ladder and are soon faced with great stone mountains that seem to go on for an eternity. Their pale grey seems to go on, over the horizon to an unknown destination. You turn back to face the ladder and catch something out of the corner of your eye. You turn back and what you see leaves you speechless. An azure orb rises in front of you. You lift you hand as to touch it, to feel like you control this blue orb, like you are God himself. Your radio suddenly crackles into life. You hear your friend speak

"This is one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind"

Butterflies

Go with the beat and fit these words in from 00:20
Hum to yourself with the beeps and make the words fit

It's been so long
Since I told you
Just how you make me feel
When you hold my hand

It's like things are okay
Within my world
I cannot not complain
When I get butterflies

Everything feels
Just so perfect
When you tell me that's it's all okay

I can see you
You can see me
And I can tell you, I'll be so happy

The Stars will shine
When we both align
Butterflies fly from me, When you are near

I suppose it's true
About what they say
Love at first sight, Never really goes away

Oh, let the hands hold
So damn tight
If it feel this good, it must be so right

....I ran out of things to go on about.

Loved the song though :) 5 and a 10

Intro to your game!

Earth is no more. It is but a distant memory covered in denial and rumour, it is a forgotten world.

For several generations, what remains of mankind has drifted deeper into the vastness of the unknown toward a destination unwritten. We number in our tens of thousands on the colonization ship 'New Hope' and with us we carry all of humanities history. Every invention, every book, spoken word or achievement is catalogued into the colossal database aboard this ship. We are the last of the species known as man.

End Transmission . . . . . . . . . . .

(Your character awakens from Cyro-sleep in an empty hallway. The character steps out of the tube and looks around. Lights flicker in the hallway that seems to go on forever. All the other pods around you are empty and covered with dust. You walk toward one and place your hand on the dust covered glass. Wiping away the dust with your hand a name is written, your eyes widen and you fall backwards in shock at the letters in front of you. Your hand feels a small device on the floor that seems to be a voice recorder of some kind. You hesitantly press the play button. A voice fills the silent hallway)

This will be my last entry as time is short. We have experienced a massive and catastrophic failure in the ships air processing units. Foreign micro organisms have somehow spread among the the crew, and I myself appear to be affected. It is my fear that all 23,000 people on board have become subject to this deadly pathogen. If you are hearing this then you are likely one of the few who may be immune to its genetic make-up. I shall warn you of the symptoms in hope that you will be able to find a cure or at least escape this ship. People infected may appear sluggish and somewhat distant, this however is not their true nature, affected hosts aggression levels exceed a 200% increase and they will attack and kill anyone who appears normal and unaffected. My advice is to attempt an immediate...(Recording Corrupted/ File Not Found)

(Your character realises he has been frozen for nearly a hundred years. His thoughts are ended when he hears the sound of metal scraping against the floor. Tuning around they fall on top of the remains of what appears to be a soldier. His body has been torn and ripped at by claws and he has bones missing from his rotted skeletal remains. You quickly search the corpse and find a loaded weapon. Cocking the firearm you point it at where the sound is coming from. You breathing is heavy, your heart pounding and sweat drips from your forehead, fear is coursing though your veins. The noise becomes louder as a shadowed shape emerges from the darkness. A low grunt can be heard as the figure stares at you with white glazed eyes)

Well you can do the rest via flash.

Welcome to the future

Welcome to the year 2906. You have been frozen for over 800 years. In that time a lot has changed. Mankind has spread among the stars, entire alien races have been found and integrated into human society with great success. This may be a shock to you but you will soon adapt to our wondrous time. Now please explore this world, may I suggest the Aphrodite Lounge. It is 'Gentleman's bar' with the hottest dancing girls from across the Galaxy, and believe me, they are up for it.

(This song is what would play in that strip club)

So, this is it!

However, our numbers are short, our will is beginning to break and we are crumbling under such vast and unrelenting darkness. This is why we must ask for your help...

This war is nearly over and you may hold the key to victory...

Good Luck
And God Speed.

Now this is what comes to mind!

I stand alone, silent and watchful.

This once vibrant and life filled city is nothing bust dust and echoes. Mankind's proudest achievement wiped from the face of existence in one fell swoop. As I gaze over the silent vale, the horizon scattered with the skeletal remains of once heaven piercing spires and buildings I wonder, I wonder where she could be. My love, lost somewhere in this desolate graveyard of humanity. My thoughts are abruptly ended by the sound of footsteps that resonate through the rusted steel of hollow giants. I turn my head, my cloth covered face lifts up from my chest as I gaze at a figure walking toward me. I lift my hood over my head and walk toward the mysterious shape. With every step we come closer to one another, nothing but the solitary wind cascading over my dark outline is heard. I stop but meters away from what now appears to be a man in a blood stained jacket, he is wearing a gas mask with one of the glass eye sockets cracked. Holding a blade wrapped with rags he opens his mouth to speak "Well, well, it seems I have found me some food. I have to ask, how do you want to be cooked? I prefer well done..." Two other men slowly appear from the ruins behind me. The figure continues "...but my boys prefer medium rare" I glance over my shoulder and see two skinny men holding metal pipes. One with dark hair and the other a bald, shorter man, both have crazed looks in their eyes. The begin to walk toward me tapping the pipes with their bony fingers. I look at the man in front of me and in a clam tone reply to his statement
"I have no quarrel with you stranger. I do not wish to harm you or your friends. You seem desperate but I cannot help you" The man looked at me up and down, then over my shoulder to his two companions
"Harm us, Ha! We outnumber you 3 to 1. What chance have you got. We haven't eaten in seven days and you are not going to stop me getting what I want! Look around you, there is nothing left, we are starving and you are the closest thing to food. So just shut up and let me gut you!" Taking a deep breath I walked toward the man and spoke
"If you wish to fight I will have no choice but to retaliate. A situation that will only end in death for yourself and your comrades"
"Fuck you!" The man shouted as he lunged toward me holding his blade. In a heartbeat I moved to the side, grasping his hand and snapping his wrist. He let out a scream of agony as he crumbled to the floor. His two friends charged at me from behind. Lowering myself to the ground I picked up the blade dropped but moments ago and plunged it into the dark haired man's abdomen. Pulling the blade from his wound I circled my body and drove the now blood stained blade into the throat of the other man. With all my strength I pushed the blade ever deeper then pulled it to the right. Warm blood gushed from his neck and he fell to the floor shaking. Walking over to the other wounded man I placed my hands over his nose and mouth preventing him from taking another breath. His frantic kicking caused the dust to shroud his face. I pressed ever harder as his muffled screams slowly became quieter and his feet stopped kicking. I stood up and tuned around to face the final man. Holding his wrist he looked up at me with fear in his eyes
"What, what, the hell are you?" I walked toward him as he tried to crawl away. Grabbing him I turned his over and looked into his one eyes through the cracked glass. He began to shake as I placed my hands on either side of his head. I moved my mouth closer to his ear and whispered
"I am, a survivor" Clenching hard I twisted my hands. The silence was broken by the loud crack of the man's neck. Kneeling over the body I let out a sigh of sadness and regret. I knew that killing was what had to be done to find salvation in this hell. I needed to find her, and I had come to terms with what I had to do finally hold her again!
(Camera pans upward slowly then pans backward through the shells of buildings. The figure becomes fainter and fainter. It then slowly fades to black as the last wisps of wind fall silent)

Musical-Pants responds:

Holy. Crap. I have no idea how long it took you to write that, but I am absolutely thrilled that my song moved you to put your thoughts into words. I always love it when people put real heart into their reviews. You have one hell of an imagination! Thanks a BUNCH man.
